Finance Manager

Introduction

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Manager to join their team in Midrand.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the business and providing strategic financial support to drive growth, profitability and operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Manage monthly reporting on Predict and HFM.
Ensure key reporting deadlines are met, including Flash, Actuals and Monthly Forecasts.
Prepare management plans and strategic plans.
Review weekly and monthly payments.
Manage inventory and obsolete inventory.
Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
Monitor cash flow and working capital.
Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation, including VAT, PAYE and Corporate Income Tax.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulatory authorities.
Implement and maintain effective financial controls and risk management processes.
Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and business analysis.
Provide financial support to the logistics, marketing and commercial teams.
Lead and develop the Finance team

Experiences & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CA(SA) or CIMA.
5–8 years’ progressive finance experience, including at least 2–3 years in a management role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, South African tax legislation and financial reporting standards.
Experience working with ERP/accounting systems, such as SAP or other in-house systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
