Introduction

A well-established company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full credit control function, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the effective collection of outstanding accounts within the Chain Store environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Full credit control function for Trade and Chain Store accounts
Account reconciliations
Allocation and capturing of payments
Discount and rebate allocations
Collection of outstanding monies
Submission of statements on Chain Store portals
Following up and resolving customer queries
Preparing reports for customers and management
Maintaining accounts receivable data and notes on Syspro
Liaising with customers and internal departments
General housekeeping, filing, and office administration

Experiences & Qualifications

Matric / N3 qualification
Credit Management qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Credit Control within a Chain Store environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Syspro experience advantageous
High level of numeracy with a sound understanding of accounting principles
Ability to assess customer creditworthiness
Excellent coordination and administration skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Professional telephone etiquette with strong interpersonal and communication skills
