Introduction

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the debtors’ book, ensuring timely collections, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting healthy cash flow within the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the debtors’ ledger
Ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts
Follow up on overdue payments via phone and email
Resolve customer billing queries and discrepancies
Allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts
Prepare weekly and monthly age analysis reports
Monitor credit limits and assist with credit risk management
Work closely with the sales and finance teams to resolve account issues
Maintain accurate records of all collection activities

Experiences & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Credit Controller / Debtors Clerk
Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
High attention to detail and strong reconciliation ability
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
Relevant finance or accounting qualification will be advantageous
